To be honest James, I never found out why the pumps melted and I can't remember which plate was fitted. I can confirm that an xr2 tuner was (and still is) used.
All I done was to change the box an all works well now.
The CLE is sitting in the garage to this day, just to remind me of the struggle it gave me.

Sorry for late reply, pulled everything back apart and plugged the triangle dump hole in the top plate, checked water pump and put it back together.. Finally water pressure out both tell tales! will report on psi and temp when I have give it a run on the water!

have you checked the poppet valve? if the spring or the seal goes it just goes straight through. before taking it apart put your finger over the starboard side tell tail and see if the velocity and quantity of the port telltale increases. if so then poppet valve/ or spring knackered.

I haven't checked that, I will check it out over the weekend and see if it's okay.

Will this one piece tuner run okay with the XR2 200? Think the exhaust holes look different sizes, will this effect the performance?
