Yanmar 315 6LP and Extreme 26

Can an owner of one of the Extreme 26's with a diesel Yanmar 315 6LP tell me how much fuel per hour is used at full throttle.

Also interested in opinions on the Bravo 1 Diesel X outdrive or Bravo 3 Diesel X outdrive and gear ratio, for top end speed.

I have read on here that Deep Purple was/is the fastest with a Bravo 3 ?

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Deep Purple "was" allegedly the fastest, but it was also the lightest.

I always used to send them out with a 1.36:1 Bravo 1(x), with either 24 or 26" Bravo 1's, or 25" mirage.

Deep Purple had a Bravo 3, with I think 24" props and a 1.36:1 ratio. No proper max speed figures exist for any of the boats, as i had to rely on customer feedback which is not always that accurate.

On the one occasion I went out in DP, it certainly felt the liveliest, but whether that was down to the weight or drive we'll never know.

I'm told max gph was around 10 an hour, with an average of 5....

True WOT max is closer to 15GPH (imp) I would say. High speed cruise probably 10, gentle saunter, 5.

i had in the red a 26 extreme with a 315 yanmar great economy max speed was about 62 ish mph on gps had a bravo 1 with 4 blade 26 ,tony will know the ratio ,when the weather was warm pull out was a little slow for sking but once the turbo eventually got going weeeheeeeeeeeeee as for deep purple that was very different 65 mph ish may be 66 cant remeber exact gary will remeber pull out was incredible no noticable turbo lag it could pull me up on a competition mono no probs ,it was lively as tony says but felt more stable than mine at speed, it was a very nice boat!! fuel well didnt really find it an issue as back then red was about 26p a litre a good day out was about half a tank of fuel ,cant rember the tank size so over to tony, flat out yes it burnt a bit more but once you dropped back to just under flat out it was great cheapest boating ive ever done!!
