Just bought an Avenger 16

Hi,

I’ve often browsed Boatmad but have decided to join after reading some interesting threads about Don Shead and Avengers.
I’ve just bought an Avenger 16 from a forum member, admittedly for the (not fitted) Mercruiser 140 engine for my Sea Ray...
However...
I can’t bear all the old hulls out there on eBay languishing without engines, never to be used again, so I decided to go for the whole package and I will be fitting a period 70’s Mercruiser 120 into the Avenger and getting her sea worthy. Whether I go any further with a restoration or just get it sea worthy for sale I’m not yet sure. My uncle raced against some of these years ago (Terry Sleap of Romney Marsh Marine) so it’s an interesting proposition!

I’ll post some pictures in the next few days.
