is ther any ex racers that would grant me permission to use their number?

C1 is reserved for national champions, or rather the #1 part is, for any class, should they want it, so you'll have to have C2 to 9.

Of course, you never know, next year you might qualify for it.

well you learn something every day! I should have been A1 in OCR 2005..Doh!
Or does it only apply if nationals have a worlds unlike OCR?

Anyone else know who might be A2-9?

Wasnt Richard white A2 in OCR then C2 Offshore?

C3 sounds favourite to carry on from A30 and to tie in with The class?

No but the RYA tend to try not to duplicate numbers through the classes !! there are exceptions but they try not to !!

Why thank you.

Nick will be pleased, the number was his choice. (as with his karting, where his race number has always been his age at the time)

Numbers are important to some competitors!
I raced with Peter Wilson - and everything had to be 7!

Hotel Room 7.

Table number 7.

etc. etc.

Drove me mad!!!!!!!!!

Mind you, driving that car around town was a "red rag to a bull" for the police.
"What is that number plate sir?"

"Seven", I would reply!

I was talking to my son on the phone this evening, and he still remembers a Policeman looking very perplexed, when we got "pulled over", and he said OK on your way !!!!!!!!!!!!
