Shame to hear this! But these things happen, if anyone gets any idea of costs to get out there please let me know as this is the main factor deciding whether we go or not??
Making every effort to do so though and really want to be there.

Just checked on the UIM website and it shows the event as 2L and 4L worlds only. (not sure what happened to the 6Litres).

It's only a shame because GB had a bid in as well and Italy was'nt even an official reserve when Cape Town cancelled. The 2 reserves were GB and Sweden. Sweden did'nt bother cos they have it next year, and had it last year.
Good old UIM, no inside dirty moves there then.............
Where's Italy anyway ......?? Lets go

I did not mean a 'shame', i just meant that it is shame that they are not happening here that is all. SORRY if you all got the wrong end of the stick.
Will be great fun if i can get out there and are really trying to get out there just trying to find a sponsor to pay for it all.
I know i am probably the youngest on here and the thickest and i appologise if i come accross a prick!!!!!!

I heard that the GB didn't follow up on it and neither did Sweden so it was up for grabs.

Actually GB did have a bid in on time with venue and funding, so they still gaive it to Italy who were late with their bid.
Go figure.
