What does that say about RB8 or Offshore power boating?

It says what we all already know.

Inshore laps, around the cans, inspires no one, me included. Certainly, very few people want to chuck their hard earned dosh at the 'round the cans' stuff.

A better spectator sport it may be, but to be honest, offshore powerboating never was a spectator sport.

Watch em flock to do CTC later next year.

CTC will definately happen in 2009. A derivative may happen in 2008.

I believe that some sort of Cowes Torquay Cowes, or at least Solent Torquay Solent race will happen after the 'Round Britain'. There's going to be a shed load of people, juiced up from RB, sitting on well proven boats, with nowhere to go!

CTC will be a walk in the park after RB.

As covered a while back on another thread, simple rules, no red tape, no outrageous costs, no bull. That will be the recipe for racers turning out in their droves to do the famous race.
