Ian, don't worry - Bob and Tom have designed a course that replicates the M5from the Midlands to Cornwall. You can go on autopilot, while Dave will be searching for Fleet Services for Rhino to have a leak. It'll be a doddle for you!

The Rule Which Stops Formula Future 150 Racing At The Allhallows Shakedown Race Is Only A Club Rule Not A Rya Rule, To Accomadate Formula Future At The Shakedown Race It Is A Simple Matter Of Changing The Race Instructions, If You Check With The Rya They Will Confirm This, hope This Answers Your Question Paul.

Lovely. Cheers mate. So will the club ever change the rules to let these rigs and similar run or will they stick be their decision? Thanks once again.

I done this race whenever I could. Be a shame if I can't now. I'll still pop down to watch.

Race training
As has been discussed on the forum a few times, the RYA are looking for new race licence applications to provide a CV, or undergo some training to ensure the safest possible situation at races.
The probably seems a bit daunting to some newcomers to the sport and the Allhallows Yacht club & SEPA are intending to provide such evaluation and guidance at their event over the weekend of 17th & 18th of April. The tuition/training/call it what you will, will take place on the saturday (17th) at a cost of £25 per person, or FOC if your entered in the Shakedown race the following day (entry fee £75).
details below.

And here is the latest race intructions....

This weekend has all the hallmarks of a good fun and constructive event, with an RYA approved training and refresher training on Saturday, followed by a great social evening and a Sunday race on one of the oldest, established offshore courses in the UK, where many UK championships have been triumphantly won, but, also, sadly, lives have been lost.
The emphasis is on safe fun and old and new racers will be equally welcomed.

Latest News: "The security requirement of Bourne Leisure is for all entrants to the AYC Shakedown to display a Site Entry & Pit Pass. They are also insisting on the number of possible entrants so if you will be attending could you please email your confirmation to the Race Secretary on bhb@hotmail.co.uk as soon as possible. We do understand that this is really short notice and we apologise." The pass will be posted on here shortly.

Can someone tell me where the actual Race Instructions are? (The ones submitted to the RYA for approval and issued to all entrants and officials), All the links so far only lead to an Entry Form.

The duplication seemed to happen during the conversion to .pdf. It's sorted now.

Had a great day at Allhallows yesterday attending the training course. Such a friendly place, made to feel really welcome. Excellent run course, informative and interesting. Great job by all the facilitators ... many thanks to all. Brian and Steve.

Yeah, they seem super friendly there. Great atmosphere. And indeed, it appears the training was very good, and you got a RYA PBL2 to boot! Good stuff and thanks to Barry & his team for sorting that out.
Flat as a witches tit there today, like a millpond.
Race was won by Old Beardy, followed fairly closely by Brian Peedel (who was 'supposed' to be running a new motor in!) who both lapped the 3rd place boat at least once, possibly twice.
Both the Bats looked & sounded very sweet.
