What a lovely weekend, Shirley & ORDA excelled RTYC Hospitality was beyond reproach & a great meal in the restaurant to boot with the most suburb service. Not a lot else other than a Thank you to all who obviously put a lot of effort in, it was noticed & well appreciated. Torquay is a great venue
About the only point would be a stenna stair lift as I struggle up & down between the car park & the pier as the day wore on.
It wasn’t the best of water for the Midas & really struggled to get the spinnaker deployed on a number of occasions. The play in pole was fun & was really about the max I wanted but it went downhill by race time.
What is the term “ If you have luck then it’s only bad lack” Scottyboy that was written for you, a drive issue from testing up to poole for the parts late night both ways & rebuild & get out for pole at 11:00 - Respect my friend . I would have hoisted the flag from the yardarm. Such enthusiasm & dedication is a credit to you. Great to see “Grant” & “Phil” Mitchell in action in the 2nd 6ltr boat (smoking aces) and look forward to the next outing for you guys - that run was a good first event for you and the boat. Looking good billy ray.....
Nick Surry Again overcame Saturdays Lifter fluid leak & got out there. Shame you didn’t quite make the finish but I’m sure you will come back & go for it. “Old Beardy’s Nav sorry I don’t know your name – boy can you run - at least twice the length of the pier that I noticed – This guys is a outsider for 2012 London - trust me, I got out of breath just watching.
So thank you ORDA & the RTYC - wicked

Hot news from the event - Foolish has been sacked and wishfull is on the lookout for a new navigator...... Ashley did your foot ever come off the metal as you were flying

Technically all marks of the course were passed on the correct hand, it was just a wide turn to find less confused water.

I think John has said all the Thank You's which we second,as a newbie is was so nice to have such a great welcome and advice and support and to put faces to names, its a big learning curve for us and if i'd have known my hydrualic steering was supposed effectively slip I would have continued but I'll know for next time as we are still mad keen to do some more-just need to get some decorating done at home to pasify the Mrs and the license relaxation is good news for the future,Thanks again for great weekend-Nic and Bruce

Terry was third in the V24's - put that right for you!
Apologies if I bored anyone or sounded like a complete idiot doing the commentary - 5 minutes notice was all I had! At least it meant that Rhino had a navigator and there was a commentator!

First out of one, again. At least your 'racing' career is unblemished, never finishing worse than 1st.

I can live with that, but I think it does take a little from the other guys when posted in such a manner. At both events the other boats both worked hard to be out there racing & deserved better luck namly Adam & Nic. If I'm the only one left running & I wish I wasn't, I'll take it to the flag as slow as I can using the lapped rule to shorten it & keep the fuel in the tank for another day every time.

Not got the killer instinct that Terry had then, you'd never have heard him talk like that. Obviously doesn't run in the family.
