A "Closed Forum" makes for "Hygienic Posts", what about Ex. Racers and Officials who don’t either hold a Licence or Office any longer - do they not have a voice?
One thing that I feel this site offers is a wealth of experience which is freely offered (by members) to those (members) who seek advice - let's don’t change that...

Indeed, or us ex-racers who like to offer advice, help, suggestions and occasionally take the piss.

There won't be any closed forums, or exclusive clubs.

Sorry ok had a licence or been an official! It was an idea! But bitch fights and sh1t stirring and dirty laundry is not productive! What most of us post is good and helpful and may it continue. Others can still ask for advice and if it is about racing then they would obviously have a licence! What’s wrong with asking on technical Q&A?

Real names, at least you would know weather its worth listening to or there just wanabes!
If as many people raced as posted sh1t then racing would not be dwindling!
(I can’t do it so lets try and F***K for ever one who does)

John I thought powerboat racing is an exclusive club? I was just striving for some control, you all ripped into Lil Devil and rightly so why not prevent this, I am sure prevention is better than cure! Maybe it’s just the hits (£££)
Most of you are Racers/ex, moderators anyway so what you worried about it just stops the Knobs!

Hardly, without looking too far, we have you, me and Barry Deakin! hardly what you'd call elite clientele eh.

Yeah, but veryone has their own view of what denotes a 'Knob'.

Powerboat racing is famous for being a well kept secret. making a forum elite, for racers (self important nobs) will only increase the 'us & them' factor for those outside the sport, looking in. I can't see it being productive, and would most likely increase a few peoples/racers perception of their own superstardom.

There are a good few people not involved in racing, who see the racing fraternity as rather clique. and a bit up themselves, I think there's good reason for that opinion, lets not make it worse.

I heard 7 entries - could be worse - I watched a race down at AYC in '85 with 4 entries.
