Bill Maloney

I have just learnt that BIL MALONEY, designer of the Sorcerer/Scorpio powerboats passed away on 23rd December, peacefully at his home near Bournemouth.

Bill's funeral is to be held on Tuesday, 7th January, at 3pm (1500hrs), at Poole Crematorium, followed by a gathering back at Three Legged Cross.

Kathy & Phillip of Sorcerer have e-mailed me to advise this sad news.
Please advise those who knew/remember Bill, & all the great boats he designed that performed so well, especially in Class 3 in the 60's & 70's.

very sad news,really nice guy.
Bill was kind enough to send me original drawing plans of the 17ft scorcerer i owned and restored in the nineties,he was genuinely very pleased that one of his sorcerers was being restored and used.
