With the greatest respect Blu Fin, if it were not for "some old fart" expelling hot air and to YOU "talking shite" there would not be any powerboat racing in this country because they were and to some extent still are the backbone of the sport they have stuck around done all the hard behind the scenes and still will be prepared to long after you have and gone on to new fields and will still be doing the unsung work of putting on races and funding themselves excluding "D&G"; where as most these days only come out for the "BIG" events and expect everything to be paid for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
End of rant

Big well done to Lance for some awesome driving and a big thank you to Cliff for letting Lance and I thrash his boat around on what turned out to be a lumpy but fun day.
Sorry to Scotty who lost the £50 bet but was a great sport and paid up straight away. Don't forget never bet against a V boat
Well done to all and have a great season what ever you are in

Lumpy?
Sorry but was it lumpy?
Was only pulling 4900RPM max due to leaky cowling and wrong lifter set up but still managed 55-60MPH on the "lumpy" return leg..Loved it armchair racing.
Thanks for pics and vids john

Thank you sir,
Can't wait to go testing again as soon as weather clears as i love the cat. Just sold my Phantom today so got a few £'s to chuck at the ol gal!
Although i was 40% down on power it made me realise just how capable the old gal really is.
Probably gonna do nationals with XR2 (cus will crash or flip at least once finding limits) then opti in 09!
Closed canopy...Nah.
Every time i passed the pier i though must finish for John...even though the motor was cutting out on every big wave as the water shot into the engine!!
Any suggestions on a fitting name for her?
p.s. where the mpegs of anyone but me LOL.
Cheers

225's have had problems with broken /damaged saddles in the past,
We saw the split as it was pulled out the water on the n/s 1/3rd way back.
He had a good drive though.
