Coniston 2012

Brill weather yesterday (Monday) with some quick runs from Vee, Dean, and the unlimited Hydo 'Peters & May'

Vee ran 108 (again) Dean ran 115. Peters & May 176! (181 best one way)

Gorgeous weather yesterday, sadly the gods have served a cold dish of drizzle & wind today, not looking too promising a forecast either.

Is there anywhere with a list of speeds for the day? Conditions look amazing!

No boat here this year, nothing done to make it faster, thought you would be having a go?

Not sure if everyone is aware.. but cumbrialive.tv is covering most of the event.. not live this year unfortunately but still good.. theres some movies from yesterday on their dedicated speed week page..
http://www.artisan-food.com/DotNetNu...aspx?tabid=326

GoPro Hero HD

The go pro hd is great. it's the second generation of self contained on-board camera from gopro (original being sd) and we've had great results from them (I have two), on the race boat, cars, planes etc. It's so versatile.
The GoPro HD-2 has been out for a while now which produces 120 fps in the 720p mode which would be cool when wanting a slow-mo bit, so I'm considering getting a pair of those, especially as all the accessories are compatible with the Hero HD.
There's now a GoPro-3 on the market, but I'm not sure what the differences/improvements are, but it's a different shape etc, so the batteries, accessories cases and so on (which I have lots of for the Hero-HD) won't fit.

PS. that footage of Microlink has been compressed and converted to Windows Media Video format for hosting on here. The raw footage as it comes off the camera (.MP4 format) is quite a bit better.
