B72 - Garmin/MDL
B100 - Blastoff
B110 - Fury
B558 - Cinzano
C81 - Wettpunkt
C4 - Dreamer
C5 - Relentless

From a personal perspective I haven't seen Bounty Hunter/Apache/Warlord/Garmin at Cowes today as off late afternoon. But the majority of the boats are at the marina.

Garmin will be there tomorrow - looking forward to getting back to Cowes, I've missed it!

Entered the RIB in CTC one year, had all the fuel on board ready to go and it got cancelled an hour before the start!

Thanks for that littlenige.
Been on edge waiting to see these classic boats back here again racing at Cowes. Been watching from these shores for some 37 years now(since I was 8) and its those boats from the seventies thats driven me into an obsession with watching offshore racing.
ps
Rain has now moved away, but there is still a stiff breeze of around 11-13mph in the solent, skies are expected to break up by mid morning, lets hope!
Heres to a great weekend of racing.

Tracking

Anyone know how to track the race boats today. I heard they have trackers on board?

Can you tell me why the Dry Martini 35' and Uno Embassy will don't race the CTC?
Engines are not ready or was not expected them to do the race anyway?

Both will race in the CTC. The Uno Embassy is getting the engines installed and should be at Driver's this afternoon. With the new engines it will enter as a historic boat. Dry Martini is at Driver's finishing up some minor repairs from Tuesday's run. Thanks Paul for your help glassing the deck crack. Both boats will run over to Cowes on Saturday morning.

Lohring you know whether Dr. Bonomi is aware that his old boat will race the CTC Sunday?

Cinzano cockit

Hello,
A very quick word from the cockpit.
Start was deferred but then after taking off a mark went on well.
Buzzi relaxed flew into the first mark from wide turn making use off his speed.
so him in the lead , martin lai and us make the first impressions of a fine boaters day on english summer somewhere west off the needles.
Ketching up was kera koll and close B110.
Al but buzzi near and in slight formation busy fighting the different seastates.
Suddenly mr. Hendricks decided for tea+clotted cream and ditched one kill switch.
Took some time to find the reason for loosing one engine...
When we were off again luckily no more boats had caught up, but it took us till poole bay to come closer to kerakoll again.

Only then simon informed about the next desaster.
The powersteering was gone.
We still had to do the extra round and the solent..
Manged somehow but had to let pass 111 as it became an oil tanker in the sideways seas up to two buoys again!

So 4th was arguably good result.

More later
Brgds team cinzano

Yes well said Laurence. Markus you are a breath of fresh air giving those not fortunate enough to have been there today an insight into proceedings, at least from your perspective. You guys sounded great today!

All subject to official confirmation - Buzzi wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Appears to have been a hell of a race. Some boats down to 30 knots or less at times. Keracoll second, Fury 3rd.
