A small selection of helicopter shots on the Cowes 2010 update thread.

Both races should be shown on SKY Sports within the month.

Motors TV will also broadcast, so if like me you can't afford SKY Sports - wait for that - or bets on that JF uploads to Media section.

Agreed - there are people who should be invited such as yourself as the commentator.

Just find it really annoying (and some venues are actually worse than Cowes was) that as a competitor there is not really room for you when some people who don't need to be there are taking seats etc.

Not yet - it is part of a proposal for a foreign client, gone quite some way towards being signed up but could go either way.

Would be quite a boat, based around twin or triple outboards.

No-one had the balls to tell Fabio to get off the phone either - I wouldn't have minded but I couldn't understand a word as it was all in Italian!

I would have - Race briefings bore me to death -

On Thursday was looking after the little lad from the Essex Marching Corp who collapsed - (thanks to Dr. Brett Rocos)

On Saturday - Had to do my shift in the CO OP

Looks good!

I heard a rumour that 2011 might see a two heat line up again, any truth in that? This would be very cool indeed.

Event will be similar to 2010, some small changes to CTC course to save the Fish from getting lonely.

The organising team will be in the main, the same as 2010.

A television package has been put together again.

Early ideas are to run H Class to Portland and back - Paul Hooper is running a Classic Rally for 2011 >> http://www.powerboatrally.com

Dig the 747 out of the snow, and come back to LHR safely.

I would have thought it would be important for Jonathan & Co to go 'all the way' (and back) can't they just start a little earlier? It's only a hand full of boats, it must be possible.

BTW Jonathan, I was with your buddies in Austria recently, Jeff Anderson & Pete Newman.

Oi! Is Ciao working you with his foot.

For your information Mr.Ciao has apologised for nearly getting it wrong last year (saved by a North Westerly),and promises to do better in 2011,by serving better the riff raff on the headlands ,who supply the great and the good with shots over and under sea level. He hasn`t promised me £13,000 to get aerial shots yet,but I`m working on it,but that`s dependant on the naviguesser having the bottle to run close to the cliffs a la Gordon Compton.

I`ll leave you to carry on film transferring, for I`m sure Capt Chaos needs something to watch instead of `Pirates of the Caribbean`for the umpteenth time this Xmas.

I think you'll find 'Arse bandits of the caribbean' is a more likely to be to Chaos's taste. And I don't think he'll ever tire of that type of material.

An extra hour was added for the 2010 race. This was done because in '09 Miss Daisy just made it in under 5 hours, and Swipewipes were over the 5 hours.

How much longer do you want the safety / mark boats, race doctor, timekeepers to sit out there for?

Correction '09 was under 6 hours not 5. The time to Berry Head gate was extended for 2010.
