"As the Chairman of the Offshore Racing Committee I am doing everything that is possible to encourage new and old competitors to get their boats back on the water without some of the previous complications, that in my opinion, have discouraged many people from taking part".

I nearly fell off my chair when I read that! Well done Gary, things are changing, maybe the clouds of doom and gloom about this great sport are beginning to lift which will be just great to see.

So are you long non stop, long stopover, or short course?

Looking forward to it.

The position of the 'crossover' does look like the quicker boats on their return could quite likely intersect the slower boats on their outward leg.

Anne Robinson would have a fit. She'd be straight on the blower to her old boyfriend Tony Davis....Hey blue eyes, you seen this course sweetheart?

I cant really see the problem, chance is at best it will only be around 150 MPH closure in viz possibly down to 2 miles. Which will give just on a min to accuire, ID, assess & correct IAW Col Regs..
Assuming the boats arnt painted white or gray in which case you wont see till much closer

The Crossover!

Hi Guys

The course that is shown on the P1 website and copied to here is not the course you will be running. I can assure you that there will be no crossover and no chance of boats meeting each other, one going one way, the other coming back!

I'm not sure where that course came from - but trust me it's not the course you're running on the Cowes Peveril Cowes course.

Kind regards
