Estuary Classic-revised status

Following a decision by the RYA today, AYC has lost its national points status for Class 3C at the Estuary Classic, due to an U.I.M Rule regarding water depths??

This was very disapointing news due to the time and effort put in by a number of people already, however we have basic status approval and national status for OCR.

We are now proceeding with the event as an OCR National and Open Basic Race with racing over 2 days.

I do hope it isn't 800.8.2 as that only applies to World & C'tnl C'ships

Allhallows has been running races for so many years & supported the sport. Nice payback (not)

Did you get my e-mail from last month jay

UIM web site, Search offshore rules pdf, I only got one hit with rule 800.8.2 & the index which quoted 800.13 but nothing listed under that ref ??

As I'm sure you recall John there are three types of people, Masters, slaves & misfits. Masters tell the slaves what to do, Slaves do what the masters say. Misfits ask a question ................................

Wise words Jon, I suspect the reason I posted was because I have had another two councils email me today for "risk assessment" forms for RB08.

It's driving me mad - let alone the work the rest of the work the guys are having to put in.

I guessed that was why you were asking.
I really am amazed how that old tosh ever came into being. Sure if you building a wepons establishment, or something just as nasty. Just done two, one for a new hangar and the other on a new disabled toilet !!!!!!
I did highlight the point that you could end up with a rather nasty paper cut that the first aider wouldn't treat

Edit: planning was refused on the latter................ somebody else redoing it without the Sarcastic tone

Problem is, you can be Old School, or deal with it.

51 boys and girls have paid big money to go Round Britain - it is our job to sort it out for them.

Without appearing to want to stir trouble, what is the actual rule which prevents this from running as a National Championship race?
