Free Boatshow Ticket

Any of you who are current licence holders will soon get a survey form from the RYA.This is the basis of some research being conducted by Quinetiq on behalf of the RYA Powerboat Division into helmets in offshore racing. Could I please ask that you all have a look at it, complete it and return it to Murray, the researcher, with as much information as possible and as soon as possible. It is important that after several incidents this year where the effectivness of helmets has been questioned that we try to ascertain the direction to go on helmet specifications. There is an icentive to complete and return the form on time- a free boatshow ticket. If any of you old timers want to contribute to the survey do talk to Sheila at the RYA on 02380 604238 or Email her : Sheila Wright [ sheila.wright@rya.org.uk ] and she will forward a questionnaire. (perhaps someone who has a copy and is a computer wizz can post an attachment here to download?)
Many thanks in advance.

"An ungrateful idiot" according to Cookee! How to win friends and influence people.
Got a few friends who work for Qinetiq - they seriously know their stuff, some of the research they do is unbelievable.

A placement student from QinetiQ, Murray Thompson. The document is locked so it'll have to be printed and scanned or something?

They may know their stuff, but they dont know how to get returns from race people who would have to have a high degree of computer knowledge and time to understand the way the 'real' survey was setup.

It needs to be simple else you will not get the returns.

It is a helmet problem!

Don’t wear one, that’s my view!

Get a Shave; get your hairdresser to paint your head orange and job done.

Best that than wake up every morning with the state of my neck (Thread starter SWP started that ailment many years ago).

P.S Has anyone got any good stories about helmets?

Could make an in interesting thread………………..
