She should be ready in time for the racing, she'd better be! Trouble is, as anyone on here with kids would agree, trying to arrange and fund racing a boat with a new born baby when you're on a tight budget already having just started a business ain't exactly easy!
Poker runs, I'll definately be there. Racing, it could all just be a bit too costly, but we'll see. Unlike some people getting into the sport i don't have a bottomless pot of money

Have got a navigator lined up for if I do race, a bit like you, it all depends on what its going to cost me, i've already burned my budget (twice over)
I think Charlie will be keen to have a go...
Its a shame Ed won't be racing, its such a nice boat. I guess thats the reason he doesn't want to race it...

Got it in one. He's about as competetive as a boulder too!
I've lost count of the number of times i've blown my budget, at a guess i'd say i'm at 15 times what i intended to spend, and i still haven't finished!
I'd love to race though, if i can find a Nav, money/sponsership and have a chance to get some testing in then i'll be there! Someone's gotta try an keep up with the B28!
James

Guernsey Numbers for this Summers Racing
1. I'm definitly racing my B-23
2. My old boy fancies racing his R20 that has a 2.5 280 on it - ******* quick rig that is
3. My mate is racing his P21 with a 200 H.O
4. Walshy's racing his backdraft - another very quick boat, guaranteed to be right up there with the old pro behind the wheel
5. Dave Corson is going to race his Formula or maybe a Phantom 25
6. Formula 69 on here has the old Lovely Jubbly Bubbly Argo 21 - Tommy, are you going to race it? if not ive got mates who want to buy it and race it
7. Larby will race his 100mph+ cat - i saw him in his 20 foot cat last summer - cant tell me that boy wont race when he sees everyone else doing it
8. Andy has just bought a lovely R21 with a sweet 200 ... got race me written all over it
9. Then you have the boys from Jersey - the B28.
10. Moose in his P21. Moose - are there any other Jersey boys that would come over?
11. John Guille from Sark is going to race - good lad John, always new you'd be up for it!
12. Back to the Guernsey boys - Ryan Martel has his 23 Baja with an 8 litre motor in it, he is always saying its quicker than my boat, so I'm sure he would be interested in racing it
13. James Ridout has his sunseeker XS
14. Lad who bought my old R21 with 225 H.O fancies racing it
Thats 14 easy boats i can think off just off the top of my head
i think there could be 5 more
appreciate racing can be expensive, but like walshy said - the more boats there are, the lower the cost becomes - so come on lads, lets get everyone out and make a go of this yeah? tell all your mates who have boats and are interested in boats
i can think of 2 other R21's sat in the marina in guernsey with a 250 and a 200 HO on them respectively - Mojito and Fast and Furious - sure those boys would race those boats
mark pengelly also raced in 2006 over here - tommy, can you fire him up and see if he is interested in racing again? now that we are getting the scene going again.
thats not a bad list of numbers - thats just people ive thought of off the top of my head. sure there are lots more

Now that sounds like an amusing line up!! I can't quite picture sunseekers, batboats, cats, phantoms and formulas all sharing a start line, but it's gonne be funny as hell!
I can't see Jubbly being ready for racing, i popped round to see him about it a few weeks ago - he's not selling either, i want it more than anyone, it was steve's old boat!

Dave doesn't look much different! (I had a glass with him last September).
He navigated for my dad in the 1985 London -Ramsgate-London (we had problems going to France in those days!)

H will sit in the back (along side) with you!
He lives 10 minutes walk from the GYC.
Can normally be found in La Piette Hotel drinking unwisely in a "Gee jacket" (he was the only Guernsey resident that took part in the Round Britain Race).

Toby, this year should be a breeze!
Unless Wilson and I bring out a tuned Yam 90 bolted onto a 17' Argo.

Edit - The engine was always tuned. Must send the certificates back to Monaco.
