Will, you can be sure they wont run round the island if its rough. If there is a breakdown on the west coast theyd never get it back. That swell on the 1st race was tiny compared to what can be waiting for you.

The BIG question is who will look after our boats whilst we are there? Or will it be open season on the boats again, with stuff dumped in the fuel and plug leads loosened and such?
Loverly location, great race, but one ( probably two ) really shitty competitors.
This is actually a serious question, and I see it was ignored in the previous posting.... What are you - the organisers of the event - doing to ensure the safety of the boats, and I am not talking about in the water during the race, I am talking about in the middle of the night.

Guernsey
I have PM ed my answer to the above questions to Very Tricky
As for the event we have some fantastic entertainment lined up for the evenings. Also if the round island cannot go ahead we have a very challenging course for you to run navigators will have to do some work at last.
There is only about a 20% chance of running round island due to weather ect.
We the oganisers look forward to seeing you all again in May.
SPREAD THE WORD
Good Racing

Tricky, I' m fully aware that you don't get on with one or two people at the National events, but I'm sorry to say, that's life I'm afraid. It happens everywhere.
I would have thought that after last season, you would be dead keen to get out there and prove the point and win the Championship.
I still dont think anyone deliberately damaged or sabotaged your boat, and in light of what happened to the Honda boys I would be amazed if anyone would now.
Personally speaking I would be happy to recieve your entry for Guernsey and see an end to all the bickering in the smallest fleet we have.
Roll on May.................

V24
Dave and Shirley
Just to let you know that we will coming along to Guernsey, with the V24. Brilliant event last year and it would be a shame to miss out on the action. It would be nice to see as many V boats as possible.
Marc it would be a shame for you not to race, I was looking forward to a good old battle.

You refused point blank at Torquay to even look at the boat. You muttered something about you would not have that claim spoiling your event. You also mentioned that things like that do not happen in the sport. I am so happy that the Honda boys got caught on CCTV....
The fuel pump cable is specifically designed so it is not possible for it to 'fall' loose. It has a metal spring clip that holds a pin locked in place and then is is a tight fit to pull out. It is completely impossible for it to fall out of its own.
Completely 100% impossible, with no room for any doubt. If you ever care to show some interest, I can demonstrate. You can pull it, shake it, jerk it - wahatever. It will not come loose - unless you apply two hands to it.
It is on a short lead that has no tension and has no weight. If - however - it is removed and then re-inserted to the point of the clip, it may come loose in a race.
The exact same thing happened to V24 in Littlehampton.
I did not use this as an excuse because I was loosing the race. At the lap prior to this comming loose, I was over 90 seconds in front of the other V24's, and they had no hope in hell of catching me.
I bring this up in this forum, because this is ignored if it is brought up anywhere else!
