Take a look at this forecast -

http://www.windfinder.com/wind-cgi/f...rixham_torquay

3M swells and 18 Knots N easterly offshore wind on saturday

Will certainly sort the men out from the boys

I think you'll find that is south westerly wind on that chart, if you hover you curser over the arrow it comes up with "sw"

Wind direction is where it is comming from, and tide direction is where it is going too. Is that not correct?

That is a great weather site, bookmarked it straight away.

What it does show quite succinctly is that when the racing ends on Sunday. The waves roll in at less that two meters for the first time all weekend.

All that are racing this weekend stay safe!!!
Personally I'd be wearing thermal underpants under my floatation suit.

Went there yesterday. very windy with super choppy conditions. I am popping by this afternoon too, hopefully the rain will have calmed the sea a little.

Fantastic boats though. i am very envious of the people racing.

Wow, glad to hear it can be patched up. i havent had any dealings with boat repair.
Hope your boat is touched up too. There was plenty of action out there thats for sure. engies hanging off, engine cowls ripped off, hulls holed. great fun to watch though.
