Not sure I can remember the last time that happened?
Last time I ran a 3B boat against a Honda was Windermere '99 in the enduro.

It happened very recently in Plymouth I ran against 3C and 3B - we had fantastic fun racing against the others and even OCR beat us all on the start run - as Bob will always remind us - we did give them space though eh Bob? If it's flat 3C will hammer Honda as they have around 5mph more, but as the 3C guys know in the rough it was a different story. So that should be interesting depending on the sea state. Racing with the others is best opportunity and if P1 do take it over they should work with other classes too! Now that would be good for everyone!

Oh and I forgot...we were only 7 seconds slower than Kingfisher on lap 1! Slightly different on the next 15 though eh Daddy P?

I raced against 3 Honda 225's in the Round The Island race a few years ago in the Rib with an XR2 on the back - never saw anything of them from about 30 seconds into the race

The announcement is that a 150 beat a 225 in Cowes... who did Hydrex beat?
Perhaps the driver could do with some lessons?
Owch - that reminds me of the pontoon in the Isle of Man

Is it fair to assume you didn't hear any announcement then?

Question to Scream it.
let me get this straight in my head, you are saying that a 3c boat is 5mph faster than a honda 225 in the flat.?
You are happy to be the support act to P1 Rather than have your own identity within the national.?
Isnt the cost of shipping your boats all over the world going to be beyond the reach of some teams?
please excuse my ignorance, why are you banned at the moment?
Thanks.

1. Yes. They are faster in the flat topping around 72-3 and we top at 67-68
2. I haven't said that...Steve Curtis has announced this.
3. I believe they are looking at UK base but run by P1 and we have no idea what that means yet
4. I haven't been banned as far as I know. I read another comment here that implied I was but you may formulate your own opinion on that and he did backtrack.
I believe the Four Nations Offshore effort is the best way to channel team and boat owners interests as it has been setup that way and for that very reason - even if it represents the teams if P1 takes the series over as is apparently being suggested.
Personally I reckon if P1 take over the Series they should work closely with the other classes (like Cowes) and make the sport bigger and better.

But I was getting better...just remember who was still the right way up in Liverpool 08...losing a big load of points in the process for stopping to assist a fellow crew (funnily enough in an upturned red and white boat!)
Sometimes there is just no affection for fellow drivers on this site

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the British record for a 225 was 67mph? (I was there!)and I know the batboats are capable of well over 75mph as I used to race against them in our Rib, so I reckon the gap may be bigger than you think!

I think it was over 68 set by Rupert Pugh year before last but I too may be wrong on this.
The best I have seen is around 67.7 (well 74 in the Mersey but the river had something to do with that!)
The speeds this year seen by some are over 68 due to ( i suspect) changes in rules like engine heights etc.

Apparently those that have moved away from the one type stock prop and tried a big chopper have had some interesting speed results, however not legal in the series. And considering the 300+KG weight advantage a 3c boat has you have start asking is the hull more impressive than it is given credit. Even the new spec prop (came in 2007 season) is slower than the original, I believe the guys in 2003/4/5 reguarly saw over 70
