Thought the Highway Code and 1988 Road Traffic Act placed a speed restriction on trailers, dont want Jon, Nick and TD (Supersized BigMac in hand) getting their Van, Trailer and Boat Impounded

P1 have Virtual Spectator which is excellent, but they don't give it away.

Marinetrack is what you get if you have no budget. I've been involved with projects that used Marinetrack since about 2000, and it's never worked properly. I had hoped that a few years on, and with its recent injection of VC money things might have changed.

Still, it's better than nothing and beggars can't be choosers!

There still seems to be some boats at Plymouth. If this system can be believed?
I think Hot Lemon and a couple of others don't have trailers. So I'm wondering if they may be going for a night passage to Milford Haven and then carry on for the start of third leg prety much straight away.

Apparently a number of them are planning to leave Plymouth early tomorrow morning, then race the Milford Haven to Bangor leg in the afternoon!

Not easy on the timekeeping. Although you've got to take your hat off to these guys. Thats an awful long way in one day especially if it stays rough.

I see JF has been logging in today, How does the new boat run, It really has the phantom lines and it was great watching come down the solent,. How does it compare with the 28' - Totally different or very simular in the handling.

Best ideas always come after the event, but a drivers blogg could have been a good idea where they could post comments, stories of the day ect?

Yep, it is to be believed, I was down the marineer 3 hrs ago and there was still 6-7 boats there. They have managed to get hold of a few local lorries along with a few from outside the area, approx charge is £1000 for the trip to Milford Haven.
Overheard an interesting conversaton in the beer garden with 3 teams having a chin wag, by all accounts the trip from Milford Haven is also in doubt already due to weather, they were talking about going staright over to Bangor.
I have to say that the media coverage of the event down here has been p1ss poor to put it VERY politely. Only a couple of spectator boats out yesterday (weather was bloody horrible though).

It was blowing a gale in Milford Haven an hour ago.

Cinzano crew had the engine covers open - still lots of problems apparently
