Little Ampton race

Some quick questions:

I understand that *ONLY* the Saturday race is a national event for points, and that Sunday is a basic only. Why?

All other races have been a two national point event weekend. When was this changed?

According to the RYA it was setup as a TWO race event, but now it is a single points race event?

The reason I am asking is simple: I was DQ'd from the first race, but have won almost every other race except when the boat broke at Pwelli.

I need to win 3.2 races to win the Championships, and there were four more races to go. Yet if Littlehampton have 'dropped' the points from the Sunday race, then there are only 3 more races this year that count for points - so unless there are DQ's I will not be able to win!

I think this was decided at the V24 meeting at the chilworth early this year by the V24 competitors.
You may remember this because it was just one of many you were late for, Lamont time is not always right.

I only remember *one* V24 team being at that meeting, *and* they agreed stuff like the standard prop rule, International evenrt at Littlehampton - What happened to *those* decisions?

And if this was decided at the meeting, why was the RYA informed it was a two national points race meeting?

#1:- There was at least 3 teams before you turned up, they were on time wich made it possable to make sutch decions on the comming season with a majority vote.

#2:- I'm not sure if anyone could explain this, it does involve the RYA after all.
Maybe your mate JP could help.

Tricky, I'm sure you were present when the status of Littlehampton was discussed and decided, cos the meeting was on the ferry to Guernsey and everyone bar Roy Smith was there.

Obviously there is a complaints department. Think you'll find it's Cliff Smith.
