OOPS ! It seems our enormous administration department has goofed a bit by putting so much info into the race instruction envelopes that they weigh a bit more than a first class stamp allows.
That means that they are awaiting your collection at the post office for a minor fee.

Apologies all round, please pass this onto any crews who might not frequent Boatmad and we will call as many as we can.

Can't get it right all the time I s'pose.

Dave,

Surely the post office would notify us in some way if they are there?

So the post office can afford to send you a letter telling you about it, but won't send the slightly short changed originals!

What a load'a bollix. I wonder if the postage cost of the notification, was greater than the deficit of the ORDA letter?

I wondered that today! Why send it all the way to the local post office (which is literally 2miles from my house) and not send it the rest of the journey!

Because they'll make you pay £1 plus the difference before handing it over to you!
