A11 2nd
A19 3rd
A9 4th
A29 5th
A7 6th

Good to see Ian Stirling and Ady Dickinson back in OCR !!

Cant remember Adrian & Ashleigh Foulsner's No in the 3b boat or what position they were in !!

Turned into a really good weekend despite the RYA's best efforts to scupper the event hence no V24 or Class 3 !!

Newbie to OCR

Had my first OCR race event at the weekend - navigator for Bob A9 (Thanks Bob)had a great weekend a bit battered and bruised but really enjoyed it,the last race was a bit painfull going slowly to the finish with a steering fault but I'm sure I'll recover-definately faster is smoother.Had a great welcome and met a great bunch of people and can't wait for the next one.Cheers Nic

Well what a great time we had!! Its 8 years since I have driven in OCR and you tend to forget just how good the close competition is! You have to take your hat off to the crews, to push those boats flat out around a tight circuit like that safely, takes a lot of skill. It was a bit bumpy and I say it without any shame that we got lapped by the first three in both races we finished. My right arm and shoulder are a lovely shade of black and blue, we had the boat on its side several times, almost came out of it twice but still enjoyed it. We had a couple of good battles out there which for me makes it all worthwhile. If you have enjoyed it, the finishing position is irrelevant and I think that is sometimes forgotten. Yes we all want to win, but when you are battling against the cream of the crop, realistically you cannot expect to beat them without putting in all the practice and hard work necessary to extract the last ounce out of the rig.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the crews who let a couple of old stagers join in their fun, to the officials and safety crews for putting in a great deal of effort under "strained" circumstances to get the event running smoothly and especially to Bob for letting me wreck, sorry, race his boat.
Will see you all in Torquay.
