The Route..... It's Abroad... Lol

Race Agenda

Friday 27th - Scrutineering and Race Briefing
Friday Night - Social Function Imperial Hotel Torquay
Sat 10.00 - Race to Guernsey
Sat Night - Party with the GPA
Sun 11.00 - Race to Torquay
Sunday Afternoon - Trophies and Award Ceremony

The course is draft at the moment and has been sent to the Coastgaurd to check that we are able to race between the shipping lanes as planned... this adds mileage and also ensures that we are at 90 degrees when we actually pass through the shipping lanes.......

A big shout goes out to Larby (GPA) who have offered to help out at the Guernsey side of the race

Entry Fee

The Marathon entry fee for the race is FREE to all ORDA members

....Yes..... FREE...... if you want to do this race for nothing and are not an ORDA member..... then Join ORDA... £50. Simples

You will have to pay for 1 night berthing/hotel in Guernsey.... offset by the cheap fuel..... and bring your own beer money !

Fee to non ORDA members .... £8,500.... Lol

Thanks Dean, we look forward to welcoming you all over here, I best get going with organising another night's entertainment now then!

We have a club race starting at 4 on the saturday, if you get here fast enough you'll be in time to see that too.

Cheers, James

Well done to Shirley & all at ORDA too.
To repeat another post - will there be Class 3/OCR races at Torquay while the Marathon boats are across the water ?

Mmmmmm very generous offer but will have to think about that. Having heard how bad a driver you are I would have prefered to have been on the throttles.
