That is the bad news of the week. I'm speachless. He's an absolute plonker in my opinion. What a disaster.

Not all Affiliated clubs were allowed to vote. We were not because we had not yet organised a race ( aparently )

However, given the choice, I probably would have voted for Gary, as I was not standing..

ORDA put my name in the hat and I agreed, in order for it not to be a one horse race, as it were.
Fair play, Gary got 8 votes to my 4, and therefore is the new ORC Chairman.

The best of luck to him, I've a feeling he may need it.

(Didnt actually know there were 12 clubs so it's probably a wise choice).

Thanks to the clubs who did vote for me, I would like to think they will support Gary in his new position.

Well I'd guess at
1. ORDA
2. RMYC
3. Allhallows
4. UKOBA/Honda
5. WORK ?
6. OCRDA

Then I'm scratching ????

This whole episode stinks. Its worse than the ORC gang of 4 a few years ago.
It will end in tears. We wont be able to belive a thing that comes out from the committe. The 8 clubs who voted the same way want their heads examining. The sport in a bad enough state at the moment. This is just the icing on the cake.

PB1 2005 lists 16, but not all have a vote, I think eligible clubs for 2007 are:-

Allhallows
BIBOA
BPRC
F4SA
OCRDA
ORDA
RMYC
Royal Southern YC
Thundercats (M2M)
UKOBA
WORK
Windermere
Zapcats

Which makes 13, I know - but there may or may not have been abstention.
