Next Basic Race

Congrats to all who managed the tricky conditions at the weekend. It was a good turnout, probaly the best for years. The next basic is being hoasted by the AYC so please, lets all put in the effort to be there, and show them that basic racing is worth putting on, and that the competitor numbers are on the up.

The date at the moment is W/E 5/6 May. Its a cracking event with a great club house for all to use. Accommodation is sparse down there so early booking is a must.

I'm trying very hard to get my brother-in-law to take his white Cyclone, making at least two ski-race boats. He's always wanted to do a basic race but then found out about the cost of the licences, insurance etc and now he's gone very quiet on the matter. Still plenty of time to nag him though!

The cost of entry and insurance shouldn't be more than £200 per boat.
