P1 - RB08 calender conflict
As previously posted and discussed at the PI 2008 calender launch at the London Boat Show on 11 January, I have been successful in my negotiations with our Tunisian hosts to move the 2008 P1 Tunisia Grand PrIx of the Sea to July 11-13.

Not wishing to be rude but have you actually let Mike Lloyd know by phone rather than reading it on here, would hate him to be offended...................again.
Thanks again

Very much appreciated Jim, I will be replying to your email today. It's so rare for a competitive organisation to be as cooperative as this, thank you very much P1 for being so considerate, from all at RB08.
I like good news, it's not often that we get any but things are changing rapidly. More shortly!
ML.

With 3 boats it could be a very busy year...Maybe Buzzi 42 Diesel P1, Buzzi 36 Rib RB08 and the EX pro V boat Honda 225 series as it's designed by Cougar should be legal and their certainly wont be any stability problems with a 225 motor Have a great season

Thats good for RB08 - as for Vee doing it, the date would of made no change as P1 had already agreed that we could put a substitute team in to race Tunisia. Plus if you want to be competative in P1 you wouldn't be foolish enough to race the same boat. Unfortunately for the TC racers its just mucked up their Europeans as we cant change our dates they are already set to be racing at Eastbourne Extreme Sports Festival that weekend and we cant keep the boats away for that long.... shame! some ya win and some ya loose and you can never please everyone.

By TC, I suppose you mean those ZapCat things, hardly of any great importance in the great scheme of things.

HASbeen...........
ALL boats be it cat, mono, rib Class, P1,Class 3.Honda or Thunder Cats ARE important to the great scheme of things, and it is stupid comments like that which sums up why the sport is in the mess it is in.................We should support ALL boats whatever they are.........................................:headb ang:

As a Hasbeen you maybe right... those ZapCat things are hardly of any importance to such an amazing person such as yourself....
But luckily to our Global community we seem to be getting on quite nicely and I must thank you for your view it just makes my case stronger to the RYA of why the F*** would I as an organiser want to take our community and racing that is flourishing and mix it with the withering National Championship series as it stands. People like you who are pompus, egotistic, have no idea of what racing is actually about nowadays, that suffer from small boat syndrome need to seek help!
Luckily I dont take things to heart....
