Power Boat Racing Westbay 4-5 May
Who's planning on racing at this event,Bob has put a lot of effort into organising this and if it's not supported it won't make future events he is planning to be viable. With the UK weather so unreliable all it will take is some bad weather and other events to be canceled and we will be down to two/three events or less.Make the effort now to ensure we have a sensible calender this year or don't moan if we end up with no events.Nic

Raced on both days
Saturday race was delayed due to big sea's but went ahead ay 3.00pm when it was calmer buy still rough. Only one race due to the conditions. Lots of bruises on the crews.
Sunday's weather was kinder and both races went ahead although still quite a chop/very messy sea.
It was a great venue and an enjoyable weekend-Thanks Bob
On a technical note don't remove your bow tank from your boat without taking the scoop off the transom as it still picks up water when its up which filled the boat with water and probably caused me to stuff on Saturday(Water every where so didn't notice the pick up problem) and caused me to pull from the first race on Sunday as I had approx 30 gallons of water on board after the sighting lap, second race was good fun.=its all a learning curve I do feel a bit of a plonker though. Also I'm going to fit a bigger bilge pump.
Cheers Nic
Bob will post results

Well Done!
Thanks Bob, it was a great weekend, and thanks for having us over again.
Great to see everyone, huge thanks to organisers and officials for a super event.
Told you we'd bring some sun as usual! Shame about the sea state though.
We certainly had a week of it, trying to get to West Bay, hoping all our bad luck is out of the way for the season now.
Huge thanks to Tony for helping us get our motor back in some sort of order. Still a good bit to do before Plymouth, looking forward to it.
Now to find a nav that doesnt bruise like a peach!
Has anyone got any pics on the water from the weekend?
