DVD purchase
Hi Mike!
I sent you an email regarding the DVD, but haven't heard from you so I'm posting here instead. We would like to buy some copies of the DVD, but I don't think any of the norwegians can make the time to come to Southampton on the 18th. Could you please post info on how to go forward with this? In addition could you please inform me how to get in touch with Chris Davies - we've all sent him mails to order photos from our boats in RB08 but none of us have received answers. We are REALLY missing seeing these images.
Looking forward to hearing from you - and hope RB2012 is on. Where do we sign ?
Best regards,
Team Sealbay (no 77) - Eirik & Frederik

I understand that ML's PC went wrong last week and he lost some email etc.
He is now on holiday.
The film will be for sale early November on the the RB Web Site. It has been edited down to a running time of two hours with music added, the commentary now needs to be added.
For Chris Davies he can be contacted on 00 44 7515 177961.

How much will the DVD cost?
Is there a reduced rate for competitors, who helped fund the event?
Cheers

Hi Erik
Sorry for not replying earlier but as John Moore stated I have had problems with my Computer. However, now sitting in the sun and relaxing. Iain May has done a great job on the film so far and it looked pretty damned good when I last viewed it. I understand that he is still working on it. You are all going to really enjoy this one! I will send you copies as soon as I can.
General - There are and have been huge costs in getting this film to a saleable situation and we are having to charge £20 for it but it is going to be worth every penny. It will be, after all, the definitive version of those 10 days last June. We have endeavoured to make it as good as possible as it will be viewed all around the world and compared with the famous 1969 version.
It will be available for sale on Saturday the 18th October at the showing of the Race Film at the Southampton Hilton Hotel and thereafter on our web site.
It looks as though we will have some room at the film show for non competitors but it will have to be on a first come first served basis. Cost of entry will be £18. You must let me know by email if you want to attend because catering has to be sorted.
Hope that clears everything up, now I can get back to the bar

RB08 Film & The CTC Film
Finished off the CTC film today and have to say it's simply fantastic even though we say so ourselves. Hopefully it will be a DVD that will be a piece of powerboat racing history. We are going to show this film after the RB08 film which will be finished tomorrow plus of course an extended version of the David Graham Smith RB08 interviews which JF is doing now.
All told it will be an amazing afternoon on Saturday for anyone interested in powerboat racing as you will see all the action from the two greatest powerboat races this country has seen for a couple of decades.
Come and join us if you want to but bring your wallet
