putting together a 3b boat advise please.

Hi All,

just putting my frode together for next years racing in 3B and i have a couple of questions..

does battery need to be in high sided box, i was going to strap it onto a tray?

do i need boat 100% finished with all gear inc safty equipment before getting measured?

is it true i need the measure cert before registering boat, i see both forms on rya site just dont know order to do them in?

do i choose a race number?

hopefully this post might help others as well

Battery can be mounted directly to a bulkhead, I would recommend one of the small Gel type ones.
measurement should only be required for International Racing, If this is your intention then it will need to have everything complete prior to being measured.
You can apply to the RYA for your chosen number and they will let you know if it is available. You may need to remind them that we are not supposed to have duplicate numbers in different classes !!

Good Luck

Bob

PS Can we Include you in the people wanting to race list ??
