In the UK races run between 60 and 70 miles normally. Your XR2 should burn approx 1.5 litres per mile so your tank will be too small. You could set up a secondary tank with a pump to increase the capacity. Hope this helps.

If I would like to change fuel tank for bigger, where do you usually put your tanks?? Front/Midle/Back of the boat?? I'm talking about stabillity vs speed at races

Normally your tank would go in the stern but depends on how your boat handles. Have you got a bow ballast tank? If you have then definately put the fuel tank in the rear. If not you could try two tanks, one in the bow and one in the stern and use a pump between.
