Remember, Four Nations is owned by the teams and any sponsorship will benefit teams and not be absorbed by the P1 machine. Group purchase of engines will benefit all.
The glory of Europe? I don't think so if its like last year against a handful of boats and down from 18-20 to 6 fully competing.
The best way to rebuild this series is to take Warsash out of the controlling equation. Infrsatructure is now developing nicely and the spirit of the teams is there except for the very few who are prepared to spend excessively in supporting the P1 Deal in the 225 class - sorry the 'let's buy a new engine only from Cougar 300 class'.
P1 cannot do the deal at the moment as they want it all their way. My advice to them would be to give up and pull out of the deal and let the teams get on with it and talk next year.
They promise the earth, expect all the information on a plate, give little information back, exclude teams they do not wish to communicate with. Nice and sporting that.
Spend £35,000 supporting P1 Superstock or is it vegetable stock this year?
In a word?
The pressure is on a bit for Mr Hindley and Mr Wicks at P1 - for they have brought to their King a series from F4SA and not the teams who you would have thought would be their first priority and not their last.
They could have avoided all the politics by doing a proper diligence and talking to teams well in advance but they have adopted the pure arrogance of F4SA probably because they believed F4SA.
