I am confused from Great Horwood!

1) Ex Honda F4SA boats will be racing with the P1 circus.

2) Ex Honda F4SA boats will be racing Four Nations.

Would be good to know who is running what, when and with what engines.

So if I understand this correctly, there will be 2 x Racing Series for ex Honda F4SA?

P1

Honda 150 Class using a Honda 150
Honda 225 Class using a Mercury 300

Four Nations

cider daze can't help me - anyone else out there?

I've been told the 300 merc will be re-mapped to 250.

Confused? I am.

Remapped to 250.

The undertaking was that the 300 engine would be remapped to 250. There were concerns re safety if this was not done.

That will need some ECU checking done after every race then!

There are sources in Italy and I think belgium, where they claim to do ECU mods, that give the extra% power, but when interrogated electronically, show a std map.

How do you beat that?

I think it's a daft idea! If 250 is considered a safe max, choose a motor that's max family output is 250. It's hardly rocket science.

Could anyone put their hand on their heart and say we won't see some, or all of these boats running with near, all, or more than the 300 horses of a std motor? Don't kid yourselves.

Why not accept the 250XS as the new motor, at 275hp, a bit more than intended, but still less than the circa 320 of the 300xs. And at least it 'looks' like someone producing the rules has an IQ of over 5.

More powerboating self-distruct planning.

Hmm, after I bailed out of Honda, I always suspected that some "favoured" customers had an advantage, whether that was engine or boat, who knows, just a theory of mine!

So is the F4SA now defunkt?

What happens to those who are owed considerable sums of money by F4SA for services rendered?

Have the Honda mob had yet another freebee?

Most teams accept Daze and Co are not supporting the P1 effort.

Four Nations is gaining strength but a few are trying to stop it for their own selfish purposes.

Merry Xmas and watch the Four Nations space and don't believe all you read here about the P1 farce!!

Of the 22 boats signed up for 4 Nations 2010, not many of these will be able to race with P1 too - something to do with the recession , railroads and listening to the teams.

Not only is there an echo in here, your attachment seems to be broken!

Good luck to all of the racers next year, whatever colour engine they have on the back!

Having been involved in powerboats for some 30+ years, having 2 race series with a one design hull can only be good for the people who build the hulls.

I wish both series every sucess and hope that you both recieve many more new entrants. This will in turn, increase the value of all the boats and hopefully put more into production, helping out many of those employed in the needy marine industy.

Good Luck to both P1 and 4 Nations
