and Sunday...
It may have looked calm but Ramsgate has this anoying 'lumpyness' - and the additional hazard of a nutter in an Apache racing up and down accross the race line. Worst part - he was a race official, and was bollocked about it after the first race! Also liked placing his boat inline with the turn bouy so you could not see it, then as you approached suddenly drove off, leaving a massive wash JUST where you wanted to turn!
Ask the photographers - The poor guys were on this boat!

Pretty flat both days for Ramsgate. Great drive from Will on Saturday to go up through the fleet from virtually last up to 2nd. Brian and Pat went like scalded cats on Sunday to lead by a mile, only to run out of fuel on the last lap! Good drive from Scotty as he is learning how to get that last bit out of his B23. Pete Little had problems both days with his Opti and retired, Pete Berrow did his top mounts in on Saturday so was a spectator on Sunday. Roy and Pete showed class to win both days. Bob & Dave had problems on Saturday and Sunday with both trim and lifter but managed to get good points. CB1 was going well on Sunday and was getting used to slightly lumpier conditions on the Saturday.
Cookee won the Rhibs on Saturday. Blaze hooked badly on Saturday and Ian injured his back so they retired as well as R19. No Rhibs ran on Sunday. Brilliant weather and well organised event. Sorry I have not put anything down about the V24`s but we were launching / recovering whilst their race was on. No doubt Very Tricky will enlighten us!
