You now have no allies on the organising side at all. Well done & good luck.
With all due respect Jon, having your help on the organising side does not appear to have been a great help? I believe that even if I were on the organising committee my thoughs would have been ignored. You are up against a group I dont think you have much influence over, and who are happy to accept your help, but just as happy to ignore your input.

No - I dont think his comment about the canopy was intended as inflammatory, however, he had 3 months to put a conopy on his boat, I would have had 4 days to remove mine, and then the boat would not have qualified as an entrant either, as the V24 is not 25 foot. It is not even 24 foot. The V24 has a measured length of 22 foot and 8 inches.

Mike Loyds posting was intended to be inflammatory. It also misrepresents the facts and as such was definately going to illicit a responce. You must have known that.

Then why did you let Mike Loyds inflamatory deranged posting remain if that is your intention? He even raised his voice to character size 4!!

I will not post again.

I think I have come up with a good idea !!!!!
How about adding some panache & style in the future.
There are a number of laid marks on the course have very unimaginative naming , ie two buoys, diffuser buoys, Torquay turn, mid turn, bp wytch farm.
Name laid race marks after previous winners..... eh..... stuff like Gardener turn, Arownow gate. Della Valle corner, ect ect.
Previous year’s winner gets the first race mark named following year so this year’s winner would get say "two buoys" named for the achievement. Good idea ????

Gimshaw turn maybe

Yes, it's a fine garment. You must let me know when you want it back.
