''Mr Jackson, who used to own the Poole-based IT company Deverill, told the Daily Echo that the hearing only took 10 minutes''

How weird is that, Lee Jackson bought my house at Canford Cliffs from me in 97, and I haven't seen him since until last night, when he sat at the next table to me in a restaurant in Bournemouth.

As I pointed out in this thread some time back Richard has had his problems for some time, the nightclubs have been hanging by a thread for a long time they seem to need constant revamps to stay ahead of the game, and that sucks their profit at the end of the day and why he took on Jimmys which like most places opens to a fanfare then it dies is an error of judgement in my book, and I recon Lee Jackson knew 700k was the only offer he was ever going to get at that kind of price although that's just my opinion for what it's worth

Perhaps this is Richard going for a drive around sandbanks checking out what was once his stomping ground for one last time

As you say more worrying is with people like him going under things look a bit tense for many of us, and I must admit the £ slide against the $ plus the slowing economy may have a large knock on effect for quite a few of us

Hmm, wonder if you'd be so keen to defend him if you'd been shafted for nearly half a million?

Actually I've always looked forward to races that Richard has entered you can grantee he will give it his all and he has certainly put his money where his mouth is when it comes to boats and boat racing since his first 13' Shakespeare, and I hope he continues to race, the offshore scene would be blander without him and I hope he does the brass monkey again and a few more British events next year with the rest of the growing British fleet of powerboat racers

OK, how much £ are you pledging for the new motors? 25K aught to do it, or at least be a start. Very generous, thank you.

Well if for some extraordinary reason we turnover a million pounds before the BM I'll see if we can't stuff some of these into your new steed Mr JF

http://www.raylarengine.com/550_engine.html

Although unfortunately the likelihood of that happening is about the same as ET turning up on your doorstep for dinner
