Needles & Camden Trophy Winners

Ummm!!! The local Sandbanks engraver might get a call in the near future for some mod work.

General Listing from RYA website.(see attachment)

1969 Needles - won by Don Shead (Pascoe Watson wasn`t in the boat, although he was the owner. The Owners name doesn`t go on the trophy, otherwise winners of CT would have John Gouldlandris instead of Tommy Sopwith or Dick Wilkins instead of Jeffrey Quill.)

1972 Needles - Carlo Bonomi won,Tim Powell was second.

1978 Needles - KEN Cassir,not H.Cassir.

1985 Needles - ANGELO Spelta,not Andreas Spelta.

1989 Needles - Fabio Buzzi won.Emilo Riganti was crewing in 5th place boat Ebel with C.Bonomi.Jnr.

1989 Camden - Omitted for some reason? Steve Bourn in Mariner UK won.

1992 Needles - Omitted for some reason? D.Spelta won.

2003 Camden - I thought race was cancelled?

2009 Camden - B.Peedell,Circle Express. (Not a mod,just add to listing)

Is the Goldfish RIB racing as I seem to recall it was going to do the Poole CR event and although it was their it was not entered into the racing and of course unfortunately the B28 broke down which was a great pity as up until then it was giving Bounty Hunter something to think about

Thanks Sidey, hope the young lady's back is ok now especially as she has a young one to look after ... nowt worse than back problems

will be looking forward to these races especially as the field of boats is not looking to bad especially for the 50th CTC ... and you can take up the challenge again against the Bounty hunter which ain't to bad given it's size and no doubt considerably more HP

Safety Boats

If you can help at this race please call Helen Strickland, we normally have a good core of boats from the Poole area, but if you can help at the Needles end it would be appreciated.
