Well I did have quite a good lunch today but that's not the reason for this euphoria. It's the fact that the spirit of adventure is still alive in the English. Who else in this world would want to do this type of race? The Americans don't do it anymore and nor do the Italians, It's just the Brits, we are a bit of a wild race.

Don't be ridiculous!

Nothing set in stone, just ideas at the mo. but wouldn't take my pleasure boat round, needs to be a purpose built jobbie that's disposable, as with all 'race boats'.

As real as it can get. We have a team dedicated to getting it off the ground and I for one am working every day at it to ensure that it gathers momentum and happens. A main sponsor is the key but so are the competitors of course. If you and your friends want to join in give me your names and I will add them to our list of potential runners and riders which is growing every day.

The more 'interested' punters with boats, the easier it is to get a 'main sponsor' which would increase the chances of the event happening.

Yes, thanks for that but am ahead of you. Already working on a plan with 2 celebs being changed at every leg on a hired 38 footer liveried up in the sponsors colours and with an experienced throttle/trim jockey on board. That will certainly pull in the T.V. I think that Steve C will probably pinch Jeremy Clarkson as they are chums. Would just love to see J.C's face after a 200mile rough leg!
Thanks for your comments. Always nice to be appreciated!
