The BPRC 2009 Powerboat Ball!
The BPRC 2009 Powerboat Ball
Saturday 25th April 2009
With sponsorship now almost impossible to find in the current economic climate we have to resort to what will probably be a more fun way or raising those funds needed to put on our two Marathon races the Poole-Cherbourg-Poole and the Cowes Powerboat Festival weekend of races.
We have therefore decided to put on a function that hasn’t happened in the Powerboat world in this country for many years, a Powerboat Ball.
Johnny Caulcutt is lending us his famous “structure” at his home in Belmore Park and Maxwell Beaverbrook will host the evening.
Members of ALL powerboat racing clubs including inshore, circuit and offshore will be welcome together with those friends of ours from abroad, at what will be a spectacular evening with great food, wine, dancing and a 60's Rock & Roll band - to be announced.
Some of the main attractions will be both an auction and a silent auction which will include a number of very special items plus many other surprises.
If you would like to come and join us, have a lot of fun and meet many old friends from not only your own club but from other clubs as well please contact Laura our BPRC club secretary on the BPRC web site www.britishpowerboatracingclub.co.uk Full information will be on there within the next few days.
This will be the Powerboat Racing Evening of the year if not the decade and one not to be missed!

The holiday will probably be cheaper. Wine and auctions not a good combination

Man or mouse? I have stayed up until 5am and then went to briefing at 07.30 and raced at 09.30. Is this younger generation getting soft?

Southampton to Allhalows (excuse the spelling) after at least 4 bottles of Chablis prem cru - More like drowned rat than man or mouse... and then there is Mrs Pash - got to get her home in one piece..
Could you not try another date and therefore attract more potential guests..
Only a thought

Sorry, locked into that date now, had to be done before we started racing and in between "half terms" so will have to press on without you. Will take some pics to show you what you both missed.

Perhaps that is the only date that suits Mr Caulcutt, who is afterall very generously providing quite lavish facilities!

Tickets
With regard to buying tickets.
Whilst the online payment is a very useful tool, PayPal charge the BPRC a commission - so a cheque would be preferred!
For our foreign friends please use the online payment.
Thanks!
