Hi Paul
I don't know what boat you are thinking of, But the Ford Sabres started in 1970 at 250bhp and when right up to 680 bhp in the late 80's.

When I first started Roman Sabre Paul I put a pair of 380bhp motors in it, but over the time it raced the engines had a lot's of modifications and ended up at around 500bhp. Have a great Xmas & New Year

And eventually as 'Marston Hotels' it had Sabre 600 Marathons in it. They found their way into it from the 'Miss Kent Koi' Class II Hunton via I think Glynn Evans (Jeff???) Last raced at Folkstone in '91 I think ( I was in 'Debenhams' that day )
