Just to clarify it looks like UKOBA is organising just about all of the powerboat racing in the world except for OCR or have I got the wrong end of the stick (again!).

UKOBA Website
Well done S.D. and all. Good to see the info and pics so far. Hopefully racing not covered so far can forward their info to you.
Good to see a site just showing some info across the board. The sports to small for all the criticism and politics.

support
jon i know my comment may not be helpfull but lets be fair here,ORDA have been out on a limb for long enough without any support from anyone apart from our loyal members so why should we get excited about a web site. What the sport needs is boats on the water, not bar room racers or web site racers. Our plan of combining OCR RIB andV24 with class 3 has worked so we should all pull together and combine all classes at the same event, which should include honda ,marathon ,kids class etc etc.The RYA are the governing body so it should be within their power to inforce multi class events before the whole lot collapses

Brain UKOBA is running the Naanovo South Coast Marathon in September and the invitation went out to all club to be part of it , There were no takers with the exception of Thundercats so we are putting on a Basic race on to cover boat from all class's and clubs
The race will be
A marathon of 198 K/n Miles
A Thundercat Marathon of 110 K/n Mile
A Basic race 72 K/n Miles round the cans in Poole bay ( if the RYA OK it)
So if any club wants to but on a race at poole that weekend we will try and slot it in
For up to date information go to www.ukoba.co.uk

race
the reason there has probably been no takers is that there is no confidence in the race going ahead.A free doctor was promised and at the last minute cancelled ,there seems to be to many clubs promising things that they dont deliver .If clubs say they are going to do something they should go ahead with it even if at a loss
