The finish...
Ok Tim, no need to rub it in... wiv yer fancy close-up shots! If I'd wanted to look up their noses I could've done that ashore...
Me? ...I like landscapes ( / seascapes) personally... The small dot somewhere in the middle (but not always!) is, you will find, a boat.

Too busy getting an accurate "line crossing" to get any more pictures of finishers, but here's a few from back in the marina..

The greatest pleasure of the day was, after Kim waved the chequered flag, being able to "do a Tim Powell" and raise one finger in the air to let them know they had won...
...and i swear it was the index finger, guys...
Why would it be otherwise? ...I was delighted!!

Thats the right one, but the well behaved bit goes out the window after the race, she thought that she was going to assist me at Anvil point, but much prefered assisting Denise on the time keeping boat, I just can't keep her off the water, she even wants a small race boat of her own to race back in Guernsey, mad on speed! bless!
It was a great day, we both thoroughly enjoyed it.

Must admit given half a chance I too would of scrambled on board like a shot
and I have really enjoyed those pic's you got from your sea trip
I too was pleased to see a Planatec cross over the line and take the flag
although another side of me would also have loved to watch a battle unfold between the 2 Fountains and the Phantom, but alas due to the mechanical gremlins it was not to be
reckon the 2 ribs did pretty well not that far behind, especially the 29' Revenger not sure what make or hull the other one is anyone? and the XS2000 did fantastic considering I believe the last time I watched this boat race was the Poole CR and it was having trouble with 21' boats and then a lobster pot, so it's fortunes have improved immensely

If you're into rubber... The boat is called PPG Print, it's a new Adam Younger design.
I love Adam's "hard boats"... but I'm afraid this doesn't push any buttons for me. It makes Darren's Revenger look positively sleek. Still, it performed well and is no-doubt practical... Just don't bump into anything, the rebound could send you back miles..

Many thanks for the comments.
The new PPG is certainly a big boat compared to the Revenger - and really looking at quite a different market. I think it probably will be one of those that is liked by some people and not by others.
By all accounts they had a really good race between the PPG and the Revenger - swopping positions several times - with the PPG quicker in the rough and the Revenger quicker in the calm.
We have still quite a bit of set-up work to do on the PPG and we are also trying to get the balance between a fast leisure RIB with cabin and a race RIB - rather than a pure race machine.
Early days - and very pleased how she has performed with very little testing / development.

As to the 29' - I think Steve still has her and has plans to get her back on the water.
I often think of doing a new version of her - with my latest design features / geometry, but along the same overall concept.

It's a stunningly beautiful boat ...and I think we'd all like to see a large, marathon version!
When I'm rich and famous, Adam...
