Safe 'n sound in Lorient. Crews will meet up tomorrow morning at 0800 (local) for an 0900 departure. Tomorrow's destination is a change from the planned route, as they're going to push further into the Bay of Biscay and aim for Arcachon.

Full report to follow.

Should be a good run today and tomorrow if they hug the coastline.

Don't think so Burty. Each 'passage' has a defined stop and defined finish. It also has safeport options along the way which the crews decide on based on weather and preference. At the moment Benalmadena is neither. I've attached the schedule below.

I can't stand it. The sight of those four boats creaming around the coast lines of France Spain and Portugal in the sunshine and having a great time and drinking loads of beer is just too much. I want to be there and I bet most reading these stories do as well.

Theres no excuse, many of us could have. Maybe next time if there is a next time.

I've now given up following this! Only 3 days ago I asked for the schedule and now I've ruined a day of our holiday Waiting all day in the Malaga marina as per new revised schedule after having to ask as initially I'm sure it said benalmadena!! but now I find they are behind. What's the point?? It's only cost me a holiday, car hire, parking etc etc! All I see on here is read this, read that. Rather than, crews are at........ The publicity of this has been shocking from the start! Another nail in the power boat coffin. I won't be bothering again!
Roll on the poker run, at least when that gets cancelled a day before it will have only cost me 40quid!!

Really sorry you feel that way Burty, but also a bit confused. Benalmadena hasn't been a venue on this for over 18 months. When you asked about the schedule the other day I immediately posted up the full schedule which showed that Malaga was the target yesterday and, if reached, the boats would be there until Tuesday morning. Grey Ghost and Tally Ho made it there yesterday, and will remain on Muelle Uno until tomorrow morning. Cube52 and Hot Lemon had to pull in to Cadiz due to a crew injury and are currently on their way to Malaga. You can see where the four boats are at any time by looking at the tracker: http://venturetrack.co.uk/

This is no longer the big event we all wished it to be. It's four boats that have decided to 'go for it' anyway. Despite the smaller scale, and lower key, nature of this, we've been really surprised by the number of people following it and getting it touch with their support.

Again, really sorry that you were disappointed yesterday, but they are on schedule.

Well I have the utmost admiration for these 4 teams in having a go. They have obviously had to push through some pretty rough water and looking at the slow progress of the tracker this morning I should think that they must be almost off the plane. That area can be very bad news but hopefully they will be OK once they pass Gib. Good luck to them all and I take my hat off to them for getting this far. They must have some great stories to tell very envious.
