Barry, do I assume from the times of your postings you've been back on the plonk again?

Barry, I think you well know that ML ran the CTC race for 2 years, 08 & 09.
John M has successfully run it for the last 3 years.

As I stated before, would it not be better for the sport that crude comments, apparently drunken slurs, etc, are confined to private messages (PM's), & not to public forums ?

What part of my posts were slurred

Talk is cheap racing is not.

Why have a public forum if you can express your views.

About 30 years ago a guy called Chris Brasher helped organise the first London Marathon and it turned into a great success not sure it would of had it been run in Brixton.

Anyone see a connection

Feeling sorry for ourselves?

At the end of the day the people I feel most sorry for are The Galway Tourist Board, Saxo Bank and Peters & May; over the last few years they have all been promised so much by so many but were delivered so few.

To the best of my knowledge, the three directors of MPA Events Ltd have filed audited accounts with companies house, so there are no secrets and maybe that would be a good place to start looking if you want specific details.

I'm pretty sure shouting the odds on here won't get the desired response.

It's also not exactly going to encourage any potential 'organisers' to step up to the plate in the future, so far from productive.

Can I ask therefore, anyone looking for a fight, or wanting to generally stir up the shit, do so privately.

It's nothing new that Drunken rants only serve as a perfect advert for sobriety, and usually make the poster look completely stupid. (Captain Chaos being the only exception I know)

I got involved with this just over one year ago and I did so for one reason only - Mike Lloyd's passion for the race. Rather than yacking on endlessly about how things used to be done or how they should be done now, he's got off his arse and gone and done things. His track record speaks for itself and he retains my admiration and respect.

As a former director and small shareholder in MPA events ltd. I concur with Jon.

Hunton69, I'm afraid I don't know who you are. If you were one of the 12 teams that made the end of November deadline you should already know about your refund. If you're not, then I fail to see why you need to know the specifics around the expenditure of a limited company. This project has been running for 2 years across Europe and, accordingly, costs were incurred.

Finally, on a more thread-related matter, a further positive update will be issued by email to teams in the next 24 hours.

Barry (Deakin) hasn't raced since I think 2009. He wasn't an entrant to the 2013 CMC race.

It's pretty good news alright. Full details will be at the London meeting next Saturday, but the fleet will be based at West India Docks with a festival village on Wood Wharf

Getting a successful race ALLOWED to run on the thames again could open up so many possibilities! could a big event in the capital be what the UK scene needs????
Very possible!
