Yes i could, but then people would have to go to the last(?) page to find the complete updated list insted of finding it on the first page.

Didint Richard Carr have my boat, V-69? I think i saw his name on some paperwork that came with the boat? Might be wrong though.

It went to France - but that was a few years ago and could be elsewhere now.

The quest goes on, i have two questions for now:

What happend to V-16 aka. V-7 (at some point?) red/white V-24 that Danielle Strandford (name?) used to pilot? Rumours has it that she crashed that one pretty bad, and it was never repaired?

Also, the black and orange metallic "V-4" that raced under an Italian flag? I have seen that boat in Sweden ages ago in some race, but i dont recall where they where from.
http://boatmad.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=6815

Well, thats something to figuer out, two boats atleast.

Awesome! I miss the V24's, they were a great fleet and it's a real shame the UK side died away. Would be great to have them all back in Guernsey one year, I loved them when they were last over!

Cheers, James

the baby blue v8 (raymarine) boat was resprayed in metallic green to become v8 Jaguar racing.

this boat along with v24 (black/yellow goodwood experience, previously run by tim powell), v11 (orange/white, had extra fairing over the cockpit and rigged for helm/throttle) v7 (red/white but had purple showing around the doors, very odd boat as had a balsa core) i believed are still sat in a barn in chicester.

v77 (white and black) was left out in portugal after the races in 2006, not sure where it went from there.

v9 (yellow / blue) of ricky hill was sold to pedro viegas in portugal and renumbered v10.

looking at www.v24powerboats.com it seems to have had another rebirth, hence the moulds being at bernico.

i know the european side is challenging but be interesting to work out the yanks as well.

This is some great info!

So, V-8 is V-8 but Jaguar. But we still need to figure out what V-8 Diablo team in UK has before i update the list, since their was silver when they got it. Cliff, you must know?

I lost you here mate: V-24 black/yellow is that V-3 today or is it another boat that i dont have any photo of?

V-7 you have any more info on this one with balsa core? Ligtweight? Fast? If its alive to day in a barn, could it be used to run in the V-24 class again?

V-11 is Pascoes ex and we think it went to France, but the info stops there.

V-77 would be intressting to find any pictures of her, or is that: V-2(2) or V-4? (both maybe the same boat?)

V-9 would also be cool to trackdown in Portugal.

Yes, looks like they will try to get the class up and running again.

Thanks for info mate, hope you can help me out with my questions. Also, thanks for the info about some of the know boats, history is fun.

Cliff, V-27=V-24 resprayed and now in Sweden?

V-7 you have any more info on this one with balsa core? Ligtweight? Fast? If its alive to day in a barn, could it be used to run in the V-24 class again? difficult to tell, it had quite a few different features to some of the boats but they were all very different. they were still owned by the original series owner when i last worked on them in 2007 so not sure what happened since then

V-77 would be intressting to find any pictures of her, or is that: V-2(2) or V-4? (both maybe the same boat?) check out the photoson here. it was v7 when we arrived but can't remember how it looked

they weren't the easiet of boats to work on but hearing them running certainly made up for it.

Nice thread

Awesome boats keep the series alive.

Can't wait to get out in the beast. I agree with the comment that they are hard to work on. When you are stuck up side down on the fan belt trying to screw in the bilge pump and all the blood rushes to your head. Then you get pulled out by your feet you do agree.

It will all be worth it on the 12 of May.
