working group

Hopefully we will be able to get a good gathering for a meeting - of current, past and future 3C Competitors together for Portsmouth.

I think we will soon need to get a 'working group' nominated to progress matters. All sounds a bit official - but we could easily get bogged down on detail and spend much time talking over every issue.

Generally I think it is agreed that committees function best with no more than 4 or 5 people.

Something to think about. Don't want to make things too rigid - but also want to make sure that this opportunity is not lost to improve matters and really make something happen.

This opportunity will not be lost. And we need input from all crews, but we will need a spokesman who will put across our views, so the sooner we have a meeting the better, because after that we have got to front the organisers!

I agree we have to take opportunities in life when you get them straight away. This thing in Portsmouth needs to be organised, and run well, with an outstanding turn out of 3C boats. I think that we are also right in saying that we need to all have a meeting just so that things can be organised officialy and properly all in order to make sure that 3C is the best looking, run and organised class out there on the water racing today! We have the right attitude in wanting to go out in there numbers and impress the crowds and media, and show them what racing is all about. Also by doing this, all this media work, we may attract people into the sport with new boats, new things to try. I think that we should welcome all ideas, and suggestion from whoever how good or bad.
Once that is all sorted the media will be impressed with the class and what to have more involvement in it. I hope!

Ok that is just what i think, whether it is relevant? We can all do easily if we set are minds to it.

I forgot to say that the Black Thunder Racing team will make a big turn out at Portsmouth whenever if things all go smoothly. Very much looking forward to it!
