WPPA Vs UIM

Well if you haven't read the updates on the RYA, ORDA & UIM sites would be worth a look.
6ltr has gone with the WPPA that will have knock on effects for various UK drivers over the coming season for international events.
IMHO the UIM is over reacting and lashing out. I'm sure it couldn't withstand a legal challange if pushed hard.
Love the refrences about reporting local authorties to the IOC blah, blah, blah
Since when has powerboating been an olympic sport !!!!!!!! or is that secodary action. Intresting Italy has gone with WPPA recon so in therory no more World or Euro champs there. Guess they will report them to the IOC and they wont be going to the next olympics...........

UIM grow up take it on the chin, move on .........your actions will only the racers that you are dragging into YOuR problem

I'm enclined to agree. IMVHO the UIM would have been better off welcoming with open arms and gaining the up hand just by doing a better job!
