Was anyone lucky enough to get out on the water this morning? If not you missed a beauty, we launched at yarmouth in the Marshan and headed off towards Cowes. The water was like glass (lucky because I had my old man in the other seat) and the sun was shining. We arrived in what seemed like a very short time so we timed the trip back. 8 minutes and 20 seconds!!
So that's 9.76 miles in 8.33 minutes which equates to a speed of 70.33mph.
Set up is Mariner 200, offshore mid, homemade trumpets, bobs big nose with a 26" tempest running at 6050rpm. Thought that was quite respectable for a cheap old boat.
Hope some others got to have a squirt in the fantastic condotions.
